Arduino IDE compatible NodeMcu development board with WiFi chip. Built on top of ESP8266. Instructions on how to configure Arduino IDE for this board can be found on https://github.com/esp8266/Arduino. Micro USB serial / power connector.
After configuring Arduino IDE according to instructions, this originally Lua board becomes totally Arduino – you can program with normal C-language using normal Arduino concepts. Perfect and affordable board for IoT experiments. Personally tested to connect with Azure IoT hub – the device sent telemetry and received commands to/from IoT hub nicely via my home WiFi. I’ll write a blog article about the experiment when I have the time, if you are in hurry, I can email you the source codes from my experiment.
